Get Back On The Road

You’re human. You made a mistake. It happens. But now you need to learn from that mistake, and get your life back on track. The ignition interlock is a breathalyzer that connects to your car’s ignition, preventing you from starting it if you have been drinking. What’s great is that our system remembers multiple drivers, including you and any family members who drive the car. It will even test new drivers with a quick self-test when they first start driving. We offer the best customer service in the business at no additional charge. We are here to help you through this difficult time in your life. And we would like to help you get back on the road again.

When Is an Interlock Needed?

If a judge orders you to have an ignition interlock device, we will install a breathalyzer on your car’s dashboard; the car won’t start without passing. The ignition interlock device may be required for periods ranging from six months to several years, depending on the severity of your offense and your history. A device will likely be offered as an alternative to license suspension if you meet specific state and administrative requirements.

Cost of an Interlock

Cheaper ignition locks are available online, but discarding trust for a cheaper cost is likely not a good idea. At Ace Interlock, we understand how frustrating and stressful it can be when you face an ignition interlock requirement and that’s why we offer affordable pricing and friendly service.

What is it Like to Live with an Ignition Interlock Device?

Having to use an ignition interlock device before you drive may be an extra step, but it does help you become a safer driver. In some cases, the interlock is visible from outside the vehicle.Ace, as an interlock provider, sells devices that are designed to be discrete. Living with an interlock ignition device can be difficult to accept to start with, but most people rapidly become accustomed to using the device. Generally, you should avoid alcohol-containing mouthwash and keep other products with alcohol away from the device. Avoid driving 15 minutes after eating, drinking anything other than water, or smoking.

Rolling retests will allow you a few minutes to pull over to provide a breath test safely, so plan your route accordingly.

We hope you now have a better understanding of what an ignition interlock device is. Getting one should not be viewed as a punishment, but rather as an alternative to allow you to maintain your driver’s license and an aid to help you get your life back together. If you are required to get an ignition interlock device, then you should contact Ace Interlock today to work with professional ignition interlock installers. Our ignition interlock devices are discrete, well-designed, and will help you get back on the road.”

Ignition Interlock Installation

How to Prepare for Your Ignition Interlock Installation

To help ensure that your interlock installation goes smoothly, you should plan ahead for the appointment. For example, here are a few things to know when scheduling your interlock installation.

Do I Need to Prepare My Car Ahead of Time?

Your vehicle should be in good working order before you have the ignition interlock device installed, including the horn, battery, and all electrical systems. You must make necessary repairs before the device can be installed.

What Happens During My Installation Appointment?

When you install your ignition interlock with us, our service technicians will:

  1. Inspect your vehicle for mechanical or electrical issues.
  2. Install your ignition interlock.
  3. Complete and submit administrative paperwork as well as pay your fees.
  4. Provide interlock device training and troubleshooting. All of our devices are easy to use and operate. A simple “blow and suck” method is all that’s required for use.

We want to get you back on the road as quickly as possible, so we provide simple services and walk you through the ignition interlock process.

To ensure proper operation of the device, you will need to schedule your first monitoring check and calibration appointment. If you miss an appointment, your ignition interlock device may lockout, and you will be unable to drive your car. Please let us know if you need to reschedule a service appointment.

What Do I Need to Bring to My Interlock Installation?

To prepare for interlock device installation, please bring:

  • Current contact information
  • Date of birth
  • Driver’s license number
  • Vehicle type
  • Owner information
  • Required date of installation
  • Agency that is ordering the installation of the interlock
  • Agent who gets the report – case manager, probation officer, etc

How Long Will Installation Take?

You can expect your first appointment to take one to three hours, depending on the type of vehicle you have. Our service technicians are thorough. We want you to be comfortable with your new device. You should get the opportunity to ask any questions you have. We make time for that – no matter how long it takes.

Easy, Fast and Accurate

Our ignition interlock devices use a simple 3-second straight blow technology to submit a sample. There are no inhales, no blow/hum or any other complicated test patterns. With our devices, you’ll submit a breath sample in any weather condition, with the fastest warm-up time and 100% accurate reading each and every time.

How It Works

When you’ve been drinking, you shouldn’t drive. Ignition interlock devices (IID) for vehicles are an effective and reliable way to reduce the number of alcohol-involved crashes. They work by measuring your breath to determine if it contains alcohol above a preset level. The results from the IID unit will let you know if you can start your car or not. You only need one device if you use it primarily in the vehicle(s) you drive. However, if you use the device in more than one vehicle, you need a separate IID for each vehicle.

What Our Clients Say

No one wants to HAVE to go here but if you need an interlock device on your vehicle, this is the place to go.
